Hi, I’m Ashley, the founder of The Muttkeeper. I’m a dog mom, an animal lover, and someone who has always loved a clean home. My own dog is a huge part of my life, and I’ve always wanted to find ways to help animals and the people who care for them.

The idea for The Muttkeeper came to me while I was dog-sitting for a friend. I noticed how much there really is to keep clean when you have a dog. Beyond the usual vacuuming and mopping, there are beds, crates, bowls, toys, feeding areas, nose prints, fur and all the spaces they spend their time in. These things can be easy to put off, especially when life gets busy.

It made me realize there was an opportunity to help dog owners with a part of cleaning that often gets overlooked. I’ve always had a goal of helping as many animals as I can throughout my life, and creating cleaner spaces for dogs felt like a meaningful place to start. At the same time, I get to make life a little easier for the people who love them.

That’s why I created The Muttkeeper—a cleaning service focused on dogs, their belongings, and the areas of the home they use most. I’m not here to make it look like a dog doesn’t live in your home. I’m here to help make the home you share with them cleaner and more comfortable for both of you.
